Mildura
Today we awoke, to an icy cold morning, where everything was covered in ice. The tables, tents and car were all covered in a thin layer of ice. Eventually, braving the cold, we all got up, and went for a walk along the Murray River!
We stopped off in town, to get some supplies. Driving down the “well-named” streets of Mildura (First St, Second St etc), we stopped off at a park, where Big Lizzy was located. Big Lizzy was a huge tractor-like machine that was used, many years ago, to clear land for farming. We ate breakfast there.
We drove out to Redcliff, still going over Peter’s past, and visiting the newly developed school that he used to work at. We also visited the huge Red Cliffs footy oval where he used to play, and his old unit.
We stopped off to get some of the local oranges, and then stopped off at Angus Park, to have a drink and get some dried fruit.
Ryan, Nick and Jackson then went on a paddle-steamer! A two hour cruise. The boat, called PS ROTHBURY, took them part way up the Murray, and through a loch.
