Power's Lookout (Jackson)
Powers lookout is a wonderful place to visit, with all its trails and if you go off the track a bit then there are some wonderfully good rocks and caves to have a look at. Henry Power was a bushranger. He used the lookout to see and escape the police in the valley. There were some strange things about Power. He taught Ned Kelly how to survive in the bush. But it was Ned Kelly’s uncle who betrayed Power to the police to collect a £500 reward. Power spent about 30 of his 72 years in jail.
Sounds great! Except the bit about being in jail for so long, that doesn't sound so good. What did you see from the lookout? love Di
