The Gulflander (Jackson)

I woke up. What’s the time? 4:30 in the morning. I went back to sleep (I think) and woke up again at 6:30. I stayed awake until 7:00, then I got up at the start of another interesting day.
I’m at the station now and dad is taking photos before I go on the Gulflander, a railway that has been going for over 100 years.
With its bright red carriages, you may wonder at the Gulflander’s history, also called the “tin hare” because of the way it bounces along the track! (Dad thinks it should be called the tin tortoise).
Yippee! The Gulflander is going and I’m on it! With dad taking photos as we go, we leave Normanton station, bound for Croydon on a comfortable train.
Boredom. Well after I stopped being fascinated by wheel ruts by the track. But still boredom. The only thing I could do was listen to the driver and wait.
Finally, we got morning tea and a drink. Morning tea was just a muffin but we took it any way.
We got back on the train and boredom plagued me.
Then, finally, after about 100 miles we arrived at Croydon station.
