It was a
cool night. There were no clouds and it was clear – a perfect night for
star-gazing. We drove to one side of Birdsville
and met a woman called Sandra. We parked and got out of the car. We waited a
while for some other people to come, but then started anyway. Sandra had a
laser which she used to point out stars. We looked at stars through a
telescope. Sandra knew a lot about stars and she showed us three
constellations, Scorpios, The Big Dipper and the Southern Cross. She also
showed us two clumps of stars and an amazing look at Saturn.
